How to clean eggs

Discover effective ways to clean eggs to keep them fresh and prevent contamination. Our tips will help you quickly and safely clean eggs for culinary use.

I want to share a little life hack on how to peel chicken eggs. Everyone knows that there is one big problem: when you start peeling an egg, it can peel well, or it can be just awful when the shell starts to stick to the egg, and in the end, you tear the shell off with part of the egg.

Well, first of all, a lot depends on the eggs themselves. There are really good and high-quality eggs that peel easily and are tasty on their own. By the way, it’s a fact — the better and tastier the egg, the better it peels for some reason. I don’t know why that is.

But if you happen to have an egg that doesn’t peel well, especially if the eggs were not just boiled, but have been sitting in the fridge already boiled, then I suggest that after you crack the shell, you immediately wash the egg under warm water. The water starts to get inside under the shell and really helps to peel it well.

So, that’s the life hack. Maybe you have some of your own methods or life hacks for peeling eggs?

How to Get Out of a Binge — My Experience

"Learn how to overcome binge drinking using personal experience. Effective tips and strategies for overcoming addiction and returning to a normal life."

I am a person who has consumed alcohol since my youth, and I have experienced a lot: including months of binge drinking. But now I have come to a point where I can calmly go on a binge for a couple of weeks and drink until I feel terrible, and then calmly come out of it over a few days. After that, I can go for months without drinking.

Overall, my lifestyle now is like this: sometimes I can drink heavily for a week, and then not drink for six months. So, let me tell you about all the states and how I come out of a terrible binge when my body is shaking and hurting inside.

I must warn you right away: these are not recommendations for action, but simply my personal experience that has developed over the years.

Let's imagine the most severe scenario. For example, you have been drinking for weeks without stopping. Moreover, you have been drinking everything, mixing different drinks and washing them down with various sodas and other not-so-healthy liquids. Considering that alcohol is very high in calories, you have probably eaten almost nothing during this time—maybe just snacked occasionally.

What will happen to you after such a binge

The hardest part is that your entire digestive system will suffer a lot. Everything will hurt: from the pancreas to the intestines. You will struggle with this for several days after you stop drinking alcohol.

Of course, you will shake terribly. The first few days, sleep will be unbearable: constant half-sleep, nightmares, and a feeling that you can't rest properly.

So you have decided that that's it—enough. First of all, you will need a lot of water. You probably won't be able to go to the store, so it's better to order everything you need for delivery.

You need to order a lot of regular water and maybe one bottle of mineral water. The mineral water will be useful later, when you wash some salts out of your body with regular water and need to restore the balance a bit.

In general, it’s simple—you drink water. But it's important to understand that your body needs food. Since your digestive system is very irritated, you won't be able to eat much or eat heavy meals. You need to fill your stomach little by little.

For this, I recommend ordering a couple of cans of jelly. It at least somewhat coats the stomach. I also recommend bananas—they are convenient to eat little by little. Personally, they help me calm down a bit before sleep.

For the first couple of days, you will be drinking a lot of water. You will probably start having problems with your stool and will have to run to the bathroom often. This is normal; your body is starting to cleanse itself.

Also, a lot of fluids will be released through sweat. Sometimes you drink water by the liters, but hardly go to the bathroom. So, if possible, I recommend at least taking a shower once a day, if your condition allows it.

As for food, you can buy some vegetables—cucumbers, tomatoes—and eat them little by little. You can drink hot tea with lemon or, after some time, brew instant noodles.

After a couple of days, your digestive system will start to normalize, and you will notice it yourself. If possible, you should take a little walk. It doesn’t have to be far—even a five-minute walk is good. Your body needs to start moving.

After 2–3 days, the problems with your digestive system and the feeling that all your insides hurt will gradually go away. You will be able to eat normally. However, your head may still feel cloudy, and you may experience dizziness and worsening vision. Usually, this lasts for a few more days.

To speed up recovery, I try to eat more protein-rich foods: eggs, meat (preferably beef). I also highly recommend greens. You can eat dill, parsley, green onions—whatever you like.

After a week, you will start to feel more or less normal. The key is to gradually get your body back on track and to endure a bit. Even after severe binges, after a week, your condition usually becomes much better.

The main points:

  • eat little by little;
  • move little by little;
  • drink a lot of water.

After normalizing your condition, I usually go through a course of vitamins. Sometimes I take nootropics, like Phenotropil, but I won’t recommend anything here. I use it for myself to get back in shape faster. If you have blood pressure problems or other diseases, it's better to consult a doctor first. There are also softer options, but they are usually taken for a longer time.

The most important thing is how not to fall back into a binge again.

For me, it all depends on the fact that after recovery, I always find something to do. Work, part-time job, repairs, physical labor—whatever it is. Whether it's chopping wood all day or working as a courier. If you don’t engage in anything, it's very easy to return to alcohol, and then everything will be in vain.

Overall, as I've already mentioned, this is how it works for me: I can drink for two weeks, then not drink at all for six months and just work.

Don't drink, guys!!!!

I have lived in Asia for many years, and I developed a love for everything spicy. Not just spicy, but VERY spicy. I searched for sauces that were of excellent quality and had the right heat. And now I will tell you about the sauces Encona. So far, these are the best sauces I've found on the market.

1. Carolina Reaper

This is, in fact, a sauce based on one of the hottest peppers — Carolina Reaper. Very pleasant, and I would say it is spicy, but not overly so. It can be mixed with ketchup — it pairs very well and helps to reduce the heat. A very enjoyable sauce, probably my favorite from the Encona range.

2. Exxxtra HOT Pepper

Despite the fact that Carolina Reaper, which I mentioned above, should be the hottest, that’s not the case. This sauce Exxxtra HOT Pepper is the hottest in their entire range. Just a few drops are enough to burn everything possible.

I adore it too, but using it every day is just not possible. It contains a blend of peppers: Habanero, Scotch Bonnet, and Bhut Jolokia.

In general, I recommend keeping a bottle on hand, but you probably won't use it regularly.

3. Original Pepper

This is a quite ordinary original sauce. Also tasty, but still, it's better to take Carolina Reaper, and if it is too spicy for you — just mix it with ketchup. In my opinion, it tastes better that way.

4. Cajun HOT

This sauce is quite mediocre and fairly runny. Honestly, it's a matter of taste. Despite being a British sauce, it reminds me more of some Chinese sauces.

In conclusion

I recommend always keeping a supply of Carolina Reaper and, as mentioned above, mixing it with ketchup if necessary. And also having a bottle of Exxxtra HOT Pepper on hand for when you want your eyes to pop out.

That's a little overview. Let me know what sauces you like.

Methods of UAV Detection in the Modern World

Learn about modern methods of detecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including radar technologies, optical systems, acoustic methods, and the use of sensors to enhance security and improve monitoring efficiency.

Медиа-вопрос о древних символах и возможных инструкциях
We all see that wars in the world have taken on a new character. While tanks, airplanes, missiles, and other equipment played a major role in the past, UAVs are becoming increasingly important now. They can be produced and launched in large numbers relatively cheaply. Due to the high number of such devices, detection and interception are becoming increasingly difficult tasks.

Currently, two main types of UAVs can be identified that are actively used in military conflicts:

  • small quadcopters and hexacopters with a short flight range;
  • airplane-type UAVs, which have a longer range and can carry a significant payload.

These devices typically fly very low. As a result, many modern air defense systems cannot detect them from a great distance. Because of this, UAVs can penetrate deep into the rear, covering large distances and bypassing existing detection systems.

So what should one do if they are so difficult to detect? Let's try to think of possible solutions.

In my opinion, there are things here that may seem somewhat absurd at first glance.

1. Acoustic systems that "listen" to the sky

UAVs, especially airplane-type ones, produce a quite noticeable engine noise. They can often be heard well even without special means.

If several acoustic posts are used simultaneously, then by the time difference of sound arrival, one can not only detect the device but also approximately determine its location and direction of movement.

This is a rather old technology, which is rarely remembered today, but under current conditions, it could prove to be quite effective.

2. Aerostats

Aerostats are quite easy to deploy in almost any terrain, including forested areas. They can host regular cameras, thermal imagers, and other observation tools.

Deploying a network of such aerostats would not pose a major problem for many countries. The remaining question is data processing. Modern computer vision systems and AI can automatically analyze images and identify flying objects.

In my opinion, this could significantly enhance the effectiveness of detecting low-flying UAVs.

As for EW

Personally, I do not consider EW systems to be a universal solution. Many drones are capable of flying to pre-defined coordinates and do not require constant communication with an operator.

If the device is flying autonomously, there is simply nothing to suppress in terms of the control channel. Therefore, it is unlikely that the problem can be solved with only electronic warfare means.

Conclusion

So far, acoustic systems and aerostats seem to me to be the most interesting options for solving the problem of detecting UAVs.

Perhaps I am missing something, so I am curious to learn the opinions of others.

What methods of UAV detection would you suggest?

Salad with Red Beans - Very Satisfying

Red Bean Salad - a hearty and nutritious dish, perfectly suited for healthy eating. Find out how to prepare it easily and quickly!

A little backstory. I am 193 cm tall, and my whole life I weighed about 70 kg. I didn't look too skinny, but no matter how much I ate, I couldn't gain weight. I don't know, maybe someone has already made this recipe, but I came up with it myself to gain weight. I gathered all the most filling yet relatively healthy ingredients and started eating this salad. After a month and a half, I was already weighing nearly 90 kg. It's very filling and, in my opinion, very tasty. I would call it a purely man's salad.

In general, let's move on to the step-by-step recipe.

1. Beans

The first thing we need is one can of red beans. Without sauce, just red beans. Although it is considered a dietary product, it is rich in plant protein.

2. Bell Pepper

Next, for some vitamins, we need 3 bell peppers. You can use yellow or red, it doesn't really matter. Some people are allergic to red peppers, so you can take yellow — the taste won't change much. Cut everything into cubes or however you prefer.

3. Ham

You will need 400 g of ham. You can take not the most expensive ham, as the taste won't change much — all the ingredients will provide a combined flavor together. Cut everything into cubes too.

4. Greens

We will also add some greens. You can use just dill, or mix dill, parsley, green onions — any greens you like.

5. Cheese

One of the main ingredients is cheese. You will need about 400 g of it too. Grate it into all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. The cheese will add density to the salad and help better combine all the ingredients.

6. Mayonnaise

And the final step is mayonnaise. I recommend taking regular mayonnaise, not the cheapest, but not necessarily expensive either. The main thing is that it shouldn't be too runny. Add it little by little and mix everything. The amount is to your liking, so the consistency of the salad suits you.

That's pretty much it. After preparation, place the salad in the fridge for about an hour. Before eating, mix it well again — and it can be served at the table.

Ingredients:
  • Red beans — 1 can
  • Bell peppers — 3 pieces
  • Ham — 400 g
  • Greens — to taste
  • Cheese — 400 g (can be adjusted to taste)
  • Mayonnaise — to taste

What do you think of the salad? Enjoy your meal! 😊

Why do we sleep and dream?

Discover why sleep is essential for health and how dreams impact our psyche. Dive into the fascinating world of sleep and its significance for our lives.

There is one unresolved question in our world — why do we sleep and dream? This question still lacks a clear explanation. Since we can discuss theories here, let's discuss and present our hypotheses about what this is for and how it works.

Scientists still cannot fully understand why we sleep, as it poses a significant risk when the body effectively shuts down. In the animal kingdom, another animal could eat you at that moment. In the human world, a person is also defenseless while sleeping. From an evolutionary standpoint, this seems quite unsafe.

I would like to express my point of view. It seems to me that during sleep something akin to disk defragmentation occurs in a computer. In other words, all the data you've used during the day or acquired anew is scattered across different parts of the brain in the form of neural connections and starts to gather into a more convenient and organized form.

It seems to me that this also relates to why we sometimes experience very strange dreams. While this restructuring takes place, peculiar brain errors may occur, leading to new visions or unusual situations in dreams.

If you think about it, when you go without sleep for a long time, you become scattered, and it's difficult to gather your thoughts together and think clearly. I believe this is related to the fact that the data in your head starts to be positioned too far apart, making it harder for the brain to quickly find necessary connections.

After sleep, information that is semantically close seems to gather closer together. And once you've had sufficient rest, you start to think faster, remember what you need better, and solve problems more easily.

So, that's my hypothesis. You can laugh or not, but I would really like to discuss this. I'm sure among you there are people who can offer their versions and explanations.

Let's discuss.

The car battery is discharging

Learn why your car battery drains and how to prevent this issue. Tips for battery maintenance and troubleshooting the causes of discharge for guaranteed reliability of your vehicle.

Hello everyone. I have a very strange situation that cannot be resolved.

I have a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, and the battery started to discharge. At first, I thought it was the battery itself, so I put a new one in, but it still discharges. When it became clear that the problem is not with the battery, I went to an auto service. They checked everything and said that everything is fine, but the battery continued to discharge.

I went to another service. There, they told me that I need to replace the BCM block ("brains"), but they cannot replace and reflash it themselves, so they sent me to another service.

In the next service, they removed the BCM block, opened it, and discovered that it was indeed severely oxidized inside and needed replacement. They replaced the block, reflashed it, and installed a new one. But this did not solve the problem — the battery is still discharging.

After that, I went to another car service. There, after two days, they told me that the reason is very simple: the light bulb in the glove compartment does not turn off, and it constantly consumes power. They replaced some spring and said that now everything works fine and the light turns off. But this also did not solve the problem.

Then they told me that despite having a new battery, I need an EFB battery, which is better suited for vehicles with a Start-Stop system. Since I have an aftermarket alarm system installed, they recommended this type of battery specifically. By the way, I forgot to mention: I also replaced the alarm with a new one because they said the cause might be it. They installed the new EFB battery, but the problem still did not go away.

As a result, three auto services cannot find the cause and see no current leaks. What could this be? Where else can I turn and what should I check? Maybe someone has encountered a similar situation and can provide advice?

Thank you all in advance!

Why do alcoholics not get sick?

Why do alcoholics not suffer from diseases? Learn about the impact of alcohol on the body, possible reasons for disease resistance, and the risks associated with alcohol abuse.

Иллюстрация с древними символами для обсуждения
Медиа-вопрос о древних символах и возможных инструкциях
As an experienced alcoholic, I want to discuss this topic. I started drinking very early—around 11. Now I am 42 years old, and at this point, I drink in waves. I can go on a hard bender for a couple of weeks, and then not drink for several months.

At the same time, I've had some crazy immunity my whole life. I practically never get sick with colds or viral diseases. Of course, after a bender, my pancreas and liver hurt while I'm recovering, but eventually, everything returns to normal.

I recently had a complete examination with a doctor. She told me, "Everything is perfect." I couldn't help but laugh. The doctor didn't understand why I was laughing, and I said to her:

— I've been drinking and smoking since I was 11. There should be something wrong with me, right?

To which she replied:

— It's not about how much you drink or smoke. It's about genetics.

As for genetics—I don't know. My father was not an alcoholic, but, as I called him, a drunkard. He drank heavily, but only from Friday to Sunday. He never drank during the week. Maybe this affected my genetics somehow, but I doubt it.

That's the doctor's opinion, but I would like to share my own thoughts.

I think that due to constant binge drinking, the usual environment for viruses changes, making it harder for them to adapt to the body. Plus, we should add the constant "alcohol saturation" of the body, which supposedly kills everything in sight—viruses, bacteria, and anything else one can think of.

Of course, this is not a scientific opinion, just my musings.

As for the assertion that alcoholics do not get cancer, I believe that's complete nonsense. Alcohol does not help at all because cancer is related to genetic changes in cells, and alcohol can only exacerbate the situation.

Although, if we look at this completely from an alcoholic perspective, we could come up with the opposite theory: the body is so poisoned that cancer cells are also stunned and don't understand how to survive here. Something like chemotherapy, but in an alcoholic version.

Once again, these are all just humorous reflections.

Overall, I would be interested to know your opinion. Have you noticed something similar in yourself or among acquaintances? How is your health if you've been drinking for a long time? Let's discuss this topic.

It's always been interesting to know the opinion of others on this topic. Why do the richest people in the world so rarely invest serious money in research? Even in the most basic ones — for example, in developments that could help people live longer, and maybe someday even defeat aging.

Many of them have huge fortunes — billions that are basically just lying there. And sometimes the question arises: why is so little of this money going to something really important and useful for humanity?

After all, if even each of them invested just 1% of their savings in science and research, it might already yield incredible results. And if several such people united — who knows what discoveries could be made.

That's why I'm interested in how you see this. Perhaps we just don't know about many closed projects and research? Or is it that people, even having vast amounts of money, are still afraid to take risks with it and prefer to preserve their wealth rather than invest it in something uncertain?

Right now, artificial intelligence essentially represents a vast knowledge base. It has studied a colossal amount of information from the internet and other sources, after which it makes conclusions, finds patterns, and connections based on this data. But the main question is different: will AI be able to make truly new discoveries?

I think that even in its current implementation, AI is already capable of finding something new — something that humans might have simply missed in the vast amounts of information. Essentially, artificial intelligence was created precisely to search for hidden correlations in datasets. But the question remains: will it be able to discover something fundamentally new, something that humanity does not yet know at all?

If we look at the history of science, many discoveries happened by accident. Someone mixed something incorrectly, assembled a device "not according to directions," or conducted an experiment that was not supposed to work — and in the end, something new resulted.

For example:

The discovery of penicillin occurred because Alexander Fleming simply left laboratory dishes with bacteria and then noticed that mold had destroyed them.
Viagra was actually developed as a heart medication, but in the end, the most famous effect turned out to be completely different.

And there are a huge number of such examples.

Therefore, I believe that AI will indeed be able to make new discoveries, but only if it is given more opportunities to interact with the real world. Right now, it has vision, sound processing, some robotic manipulators, but that is not enough. It does not feel the physical world like a human: it does not understand pain, destruction, randomness, and the consequences of mistakes.

The more sensors, tools, and freedom for experiments AI has, the greater the chances for real discoveries. And perhaps the most groundbreaking AIs will be those that can conduct "absurd" experiments — understanding in advance that the chance of success is minimal, but still trying again and again. Something like the human "what if it works."

It seems to me that it is at this moment that artificial intelligence will be able to reach the level of truly important discoveries.

The main thing is that in the end, this does not turn into Skynet :)

What do you think — is it possible to create AI that becomes completely autonomous? And in what direction should humanity move to achieve this?
