When Everything is Not Feng Shui. What is the Energy of the Home and How to Fix It

The concept of Feng Shui is something we have all heard of. Essentially, it is an Eastern teaching on how to achieve harmony in the important spaces of our lives. However, the principles and rules of this theory do not touch upon one important aspect – the energy of the dwelling itself.

Followers of Feng Shui closely monitor that all items in their home are positioned according to the "correct" cardinal directions, carefully selecting colors and shapes. It is believed that unnecessary things clutter the home and hinder the free flow of energy. Therefore, to attract luck and abundance into the home, it is vital to regularly get rid of old items and furniture, to maintain the freshness of renovations, and to keep the spaces tidy. Additionally, decorating rooms with flowers and figurines that attract wealth and love is important.

But few people know how the energy of the house itself "works." And this point, by the way, is much more important than following all the recommendations of Feng Shui. In some situations, even the most fervent attempts to create harmony in an apartment will yield no results.

Every dwelling has its own energy. This energy is created from the very stage of building the structure. If the house was built in a beautiful area where a forest or field once existed, the atmosphere inside the home will be cozy and peaceful. However, if the residential development was organized on the site of an old graveyard or a place with a poor reputation, expect a gloomy and anxious environment inside the house.

But even the most favorable location does not guarantee a tranquil and happy life in the home. Apartments have a tendency to "absorb" the energy of their residents. Therefore, if you inherit a dwelling where thieves, fraudsters, alcoholics, and other negative characters once lived, it is likely that happiness will elude you in that house. You may constantly face misfortunes, and the atmosphere in the apartment will feel oppressive and heavy.

The energy of a house can be felt. It is enough to listen to yourself during your first visit to the home. Unfortunately, many of us do not pay attention to such things. And that's a pity.

If living in an atmosphere of warmth and creativity is truly important to you, be sure to take into account the history of the dwelling you plan to buy or rent for the long term. Find out who lived there before you, what events took place within its walls. Don't forget to inquire about what happened to the previous residents and why they decided to move out.

Also, make sure to walk slowly through all the rooms and try to "feel" them. Some apartments may seem bright and pleasant, evoking good impressions in a person. Others, however, might appear dark and uncomfortable. It is very important to avoid choosing the latter for your living space.
