The story is quite strange, but it's real, from life, so I decided to write it here.

In my youth, I had an acquaintance at the dacha with a very strange person. Externally, he also looked quite unusual, more like an autistic person. At the same time, he did very surprising things, as if he had extrasensory abilities. He could anticipate a lot, and it seemed like he wasn't even thinking.

We are all used to seeing some kind of psychics on television — people dressed oddly, with some amulets, who cast spells and do strange things. But he was nothing like that. An ordinary person, just looked a bit strange, as if autistic, and he had one more peculiarity — he almost never blinked. It looked creepy and sometimes even scared. Later he explained to me why he doesn’t blink and told me what real extrasensory perception is, according to him.

In short, he explained that extrasensory perception is the ability to feel very subtly what most people do not notice. According to him, you can only feel and guess something or even predict it when you don't think at all, don’t strain your brain, and don’t try to logically find some connections. He said that in order to feel something, you need to completely switch off thoughts and not interfere with the brain’s work. A person, according to him, is a kind of machine with a huge number of sensors, and the brain can process information at such a subtle level that we can’t even imagine. The main thing is not to interfere with it. Therefore, when you try to predict something, you shouldn't think — this, as he said, is the whole secret.

He told me that he had trained himself for a long time. According to him, there were even special developments where a person was shown tables with numbers arranged horizontally and vertically. For example, a 5×5 square. You had to look at it and, without thinking at all, name the sum of all the numbers. Such exercises were repeated many times, and then the size of the table was gradually increased. If a person was handling a 3×3 matrix well, they would give them 4×4, then 5×5, and so on. Returning to the beginning of the story: he didn't blink precisely for this reason. He had trained so much that he blinked much less, and it seemed that he didn’t blink at all.

According to him, this is how they trained the brain not to think consciously, but to give it complete freedom to find the result on its own. He believed that these workouts helped him not only quickly calculate numbers but also evaluate various life situations. This is what he called real extrasensory perception. He also mentioned that such methods were allegedly used in some secret services back in the 20th century.

And the most interesting part — I also noticed in life that very often there are situations when you make some actions without thinking at all, which later turn out to be perfectly correct. Usually, this is called coincidence. But he said that it is not a coincidence at all — the brain made the right decision by itself when a person did not forcibly try to make themselves think.

This story is true. This person really did unique things. Unfortunately, a couple of years after we met, he disappeared without a trace, and I never saw him again. But he told me many interesting things. If you are interested, I can write other stories that happened to him.
