Far from everyone believes the news from television and other media, especially when it comes to politicians and famous personalities. The lives, and especially the deaths, of many of them are shrouded in mysteries and rumors. Let's list the most popular conspiracy theories that have remained relevant for the last several decades.

1. Lenin is still alive.

This theory was proposed in the 1990s by musician Sergey Kuryokhin and journalist Sergey Sholokhov. Together they produced a TV segment in which they provided evidence for their hypothesis. According to them, Lenin consumed special mushrooms for many years that guarantee immortality. And now what is stored in the Moscow Mausoleum is not the body of the leader, but a very much alive Ilyich, just in hibernation.

2. Hitler faked his death.

According to this amazing theory, Adolf Hitler had no intention of dying - back in 1943 he devised a plan to demonstrate his suicide. It is believed that this plan was implemented in 1945. According to it, the discovered bodies belonged not to Hitler and Eva Braun but to their pre-selected doubles. The Führer himself, along with his mistress, secretly moved to Argentina, where they lived for many years under assumed names.

3. Hitler has a daughter.

Conspiracy theorists claim that back in 1945, German doctors froze Hitler's biological material. And in 1954, this material was allegedly used to conceive a child. This whole operation was devised by American and German intelligence agencies – so that the new leader would take into account the interests of both countries.

This was revealed to the world by Dr. Vogelzang, who published a sensational letter in 2007. In it, he also indicated that the mother of the girl was Gretl Braun, who was Eva Braun's sister. According to this version, Hitler's daughter is none other than Angela Merkel.

4. Khrushchev ordered the murder of Kennedy.

After the assassin of American President John Kennedy was found to have Belarusian roots, the world began to talk about the contract nature of this assassination. To this day, many assert that Kennedy was killed by the Soviet KGB, allegedly because he humiliated the leader of the USSR during the Cuban Missile Crisis. And Lee Oswald was a recruited agent sent to the U.S. to carry out this task.

5. Paul McCartney is dead; a double is performing instead.

There is a theory that the legendary member of the Beatles died in a car accident back in 1967. Supposedly, many big concerts were planned at that time, and the band's press service secretly decided not to cancel the performances. Instead of the famous musician, they used his double – William Campbell, who actually served in the police. According to this theory, the policeman has been performing in public under the name Paul McCartney for decades.
